How many auditions for the Alpha kids so far?
Not too many.
It’d be fantastic if we could get more auditions for them, particularly Dirk and Jake!
It’s been pretty tough finding time to finish the promo animation, so I figured I’d post the WIP since it’s been up for ages. A few more designs revealed in this, too.

Been a big gap between posts, sorry - real life has been calling! But I’m going to sift through these auditions and answer some questions now. I also have a little something to post, so sit tight.
I did promise some casting for today, so let’s do this thing.
First up, reasonpeason as Condesce (and there are more Condesce samples on their Tindeck which everyone should definitely listen to because they are fabulous).
Second, ThatOrangeAlien as Eridan (I am now officially in love with that accent).
Mindfang and Redglare will most likely be casted when I get back home as I have quite a few auditions to go through, but yes! Welcome to the team, guys.
Alright, auditions for the parts of Eridan, Condesce, Redglare, and Mindfang end on the 28th of March! After that, we’ll be casting for them.
The Alpha kids parts are still open for those interested, and there’s no cutoff date as of yet!
It would seem Tumblr’s being crazy and frustrating, so if I haven’t responded when you’ve sent in your audition, please do drop me a line via askbox.

I’m only going to cast for roles that I haven’t received many auditions/much interest before we decide on a deadline, so don’t stress too much if you’re planning on sending in an audition and have let us know about it.
Sorry for the big delay with regards to auditions, real life has kind of swallowed me up a bit. They’re still very much open and there’s no cutoff yet but since we haven’t received any in the past few days we’re going to start casting a few roles!

I'm a little confused to what exactly qualifies one for this. I have a few questions if you wouldn't mind answering? So, what sort of quality do you want recordings in? What sort of expectations should one expect if they are casted? Are auditions preferred as musical numbers or monologues? Things of the like as I'm not sure I've gotten the right idea >< Thank you for your time!
It’s not a problem! I probably should have been clearer about this from the beginning, but in answer to your questions:
- We’re looking for recordings with decent mic quality! We don’t expect professional-sounding work, but we need to be able to hear your voice clearly without any fuzz, static, pops, etc…
- If you’re casted, we’ll ask for your Skype so we can add you to the Undergroundstuck group chat, and also so we can contact you quickly and easily. When we get the script finished and everyone casted, we’re aiming to put out a video fortnightly - so, you need to be willing to put in the effort to get your lines in on time. However, we understand that real life does come first, so nobody will be losing their parts if they’re late to send in their lines! It’s a fairly casual project and if we miss our deadline a couple of times, it’s not too big a deal, as long as we get our act together eventually.
- Monologues are what we need for auditions! They can be scripted, read from pesterlogs, read from books…anything you like, really! We’ll be putting some cues up for those unsure in the next few days.
